We are committed to supporting teachers in their Continuing Professional Development and general wellbeing. We hold regular CPD sessions to help teachers feel inspired by our collections, and discuss new ideas and resources for teaching a variety of topics, in and out of the classroom.

We are proud to be working with Historic England as the Salford lead for their Heritage Schools Teacher CPD programme, supporting teachers with embedding local history learning and skills in their classrooms, and promoting the use of Salford’s rich local history collections and resources.

Local History in the Classroom & Beyond

What this session explores: Help foster a sense of place in your students which encourages pride in their community, embed more local history and heritage into your schools’ curriculum & help students to make links between local, national and international events and periods in the past!
